Tuition takes place during the Academy day using a rotating timetable

The vision and aspiration of Chelsea Academy is that every student will have the opportunity to have instrumental and vocal lessons.
We have a large team of highly qualified professional teachers and performers, employed by the Academy, who provide tuition across a wide range of disciplines.

Tuition takes place during the Academy day using a rotating timetable so that students are not affected by repeatedly missing the same curriculum lessons.

The Academy is very proud to have the support of the Bryan Adams Foundation, with whom we have established a generous music tuition bursary scheme.  For those students who apply and are awarded this bursary, they will be eligible for an 80% discount on the full fees.

Applications for both tuition and the music bursary scheme are administered by the music curriculum area and payments can only be made through the Academy ParentPay or PayPoint systems, organised through the finance team.  Applications are open from a fortnight after the half term holiday prior to commencing tuition (November / March / July).

Tuition and Fees

Students can opt for individual or group  tuition, the latter having a maximum of students per group, and will receive 10 lessons of 30-minutes per term.

Tuition Type Fees
Standard Individual Tuition £136.00 per term
Standard Group Tuition £70.00 per term
Individual Tuition with Bursary £27.00 per term
Group Tuition with Bursary £14.00 per term

Students in receipt of a bursary who do not meet the Academy’s high expectations of attendance may be asked to repay the cost of missed lessons at the discretion of the Principal and Governing Body.

Instrumental and vocal staff maintain registers which are monitored by the Curriculum Leader for Music and parents are kept informed where students are persistently late or absent to their lessons.

It is the responsibility of the student to check their own timetable(s) on the Instrumental and Vocal Tuition Noticeboard and to arrive punctually and with the correct equipment (including music and instruments where appropriate).
